The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) of Karnataka State is responsible for looking the admission into Polytechnic courses. Recently, the DTE has released the notification about organizing the Karnataka Polytechnic Entrance Test 2017 for students who want to pursue their polytechnic courses from colleges in Karnataka state. It is a state level entrance examination which is organizing for students for admission into Govt. Private Colleges, Institute and Universities. Every year a number of students will appear in the entrance test.

It is necessary that the student who is going to apply must have completed their 12th standard or it’s similar from any valid examination board.
The student must have studied Science and Math as one of their compulsory subjects and must have passed with 35% aggregate marks.
The student who is going to apply must have to be a Citizen of Karnataka.
The students from Karnataka State are required to collect their qualifying certificate released by Directorate Technical of Education, the government of Karnataka.
The form filling is the basic step of appearing in the examination. The admission form process will most likely to start in the Month of April to May 2017. For appearing in the test, the students are needed to fill in the form and are needed to submit the form. The admission form can either be filled in online or offline. The students who are going to fill in the Karnataka Diploma Offline Form can get the form offline through the participating centers or through the government aided polytechnic colleges.
For obtaining the form, the students of the general category need to remit the amount of Rs.100/ – and reserved category students need to remit Rs.50/ -. After this, the students need to attentively fill the form and at last, the students need to send the form to the nodal centers where the students want to seek admission. The written test is going to schedule in the month of June 2017 at various examination centers. The exam date is not declared by the authorities. The tentative date of the examination will be soon going published on the authorized site of the Board.
The admit card is very necessary for the student because it comprises of students all necessary information as in name of the student, his parent’s name, the center of examination and date and time of examination. It is must be carried by the student with them as without it the students are not allowed to be permitted to sit in the examination. The students can get their admit card before the examination. DTE Karnataka will declare the result on the website in the month of June 2017. After announcing the result, merit list will make and issued counseling procedure. The authorities will declare the result after successfully conducting the examination. The students will able to check the DTE Karnataka Polytechnic Result from the authorized site of the Karnataka board. The students can check the result by following the steps given below.
After announcing the result, the university will start the counseling by the month of July.
The students can give the choice of filling the colleges of their own choice but the selection of the student will be selected according to the availability of seats.
